Williams Racing Unleash The FW42!

Williams Racing have officially released their new livery for the 2019 season but have kept the actual 2019 challenger under wraps until the first day of testing, February 18th.

The new livery for Williams is a whole new concept due to a brand new partnership with ROKiT, a global telecommunications company. ROKiT have influenced the FW42 into a whole new striking colour scheme of white, blue and black. However, some hints of history still lie on the FW42 such as the butterfly on the front wing in commemoration of Virginia Williams, Claire Williams' late mother.

Williams have broken tradition with this radical new livery. Will this season also see the break of Williams being back markers? The nine times Constructors Championship winners ended up bottom last in the constructors championship last year with a mere seven points. However, looking back, it wasn't long ago that Williams were battling with the likes of Ferrari, Mercedes and even beating Red Bull in 2015 and 2014!

After losing their title sponsor Martini last season, the new chapter begins. ROKiT is a breathe of fresh air for the Grove based team the next generation, as Williams are calling it. Claire Williams, team principle, has stated "Our target has to be to make progress." Which can definitely happen especially with the returning Robert Kubica and the rookie of George Russell, who is the first Brit to race for Williams full time since 2000, when Jenson Button started his debut season.

With this next chapter be the one to bring Williams back to the front?
