Daniil Kvyat has officially been confirmed to drive for Toro Rosso for the 2019 season! After being promoted and demoted from the Red Bull, Toro Rosso teams.
He started his Formula One career with the Toro Rosso team as a test driver in 2013, which led to a highly checkered relationship with the Redbull, Toro Rosso team. In 2014 he replaced Daniel Ricciardo, who moved to Red Bull, Kvyat took his place at Toro Rosso alongside current Formula E World Champion, Jean-Eric Vergne. He spent a year there until he was promoted to the sister team, Red Bull, he stayed there for the 2015 season but was demoted part way through the 2016 season. Kvyat was replaced by Max Verstappen at the Spanish Grand Prix and was then replaced again by Frenchman, Pierre Gasly, at the Malaysian Grand Prix. However, he made his final race return for the United States Grand Prix where he scored a points finish. Helmut Marko did then release Kvyat from the Red Bull Driver Programme.

Kvyat made his Formula One comeback with Red Bull's rival team, Ferrari as a development driver this season. But has allegedly rejected his Ferrari contract to make room for another. Which we now know is due to his new Toro Rosso contract which means he will drive competitively for the 2019 season.
It is still unknown who will partner the Russian for the 2019 season, many believe Pascal Wehrlein is the most likely to gain the vacant seat. Only time will tell...
