George Russell has secured a multi-year contract at Williams Racing for the 2019 Formula 1 season onwards. He is currently leader of the Formula 2 Championship and a part of the Mercedes young driver programme. Russell will be the 3rd British driver on the 2019 grid alongside four-time World Champion, Lewis Hamilton and McLaren's rookie, Lando Norris.

Williams Racing officially announced 20 year-old, George Russell but are yet to confirm who will partner the Brit. Many believe the second seat could be retained by Sergey Sirotkin who debuted in F1 this season with Williams Racing. Yet others believe Robert Kubica could be promoted from reserve driver to full race driver for next season. One thing that is certain is that Lance Stroll will be moving on from Williams Racing to race at Force India, although it is yet to be announced officially it is a well known secret around the Paddock.
