F1's Fairy Tale! Kubica Returns!

Robert Kubica has finally made his Formula One dream of returning a reality! After 8 long years out of the F1 competition, due to a huge rally crash, the Pole is set to return in 2019 with Williams Racing.

Kubica has spent the past two years in and around the F1 Paddock as a test driver in 2017 for both Williams and Renault. He continued as a reserve and development driver in 2018, solely for Williams. His performance throughout the past two years has inspired Williams to take him on full time for the 2019 season.

After this confirmation, we can now deduce Sergey Sirotkin won't be racing in Formula One in 2019. Today he released 'It was very long and tough year, not everything went as I wanted it to be, but I kept working and gave all my energy and all my heart to achieve what I feel we deserved to and if I am honest, I do believe we did a very reasonable job in current situation we found ourselves this year.'

Now, there are only two seats left to be confirmed for 2019 at both Toro Rosso and Force India. However, although not yet officially confirmed, Force India are set on signing Lance Stroll for 2019. Many still believe Alex Albon will be signed for Toro Rosso, who is battling against George Russell for the Formula 2 Championship at the final round this weekend in Abu Dhabi.
