Black and Gold, The Future Of Haas.

Haas have revealed their latest livery for the 2019 season, the first of any team this season. Although, not all is unveiled just yet, Haas have kept the actual 2019 car under wraps until a later date, presumably the first day of testing.

Haas have been hinting at their latest livery for a few days now, starting with pictures of both Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean in black and gold team shirts, leaning more on the colour scheme of their latest sponsor Rich Energy.

Rich Energy are a British energy drink company who signed with Haas late last season as the American teams title sponsor.

The new year has certainly brought a new Haas F1 team, a radical change has occurred from the once black, grey and red Haas livery, which has barely changed since the team began in 2016.

This radical new livery is a breath of fresh air for the American team. But, could this be overly similar to one of Romain's previous teams, Lotus? Lotus F1 Team was Romain's second Formula 1 team. He joined the black and gold team for the 2012 season and continued right up until 2015 where the team was then bought by Renault F1. Grosjean managed to secure 10 podiums with Lotus, albeit they were never wins. However, Romain's then teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, secured 15 podiums, two of them being on the top step. Could this livery bring Haas the much desired podiums?

Haas were so close to a double podium finish at the season opener in Melbourne last year. However, after a tire and pitstop blunder these dreams were shattered. Unfortunately, the team failed to get anywhere close to these positions in the remaining part of the season.

Will this be the year? Only 12 days left until winter testing in Barcelona...
